  • Worked as journalist for various Chinese magazines
  • Teaches Mandarin Chinese since 1992
  • Math and art programs volunteer 2000-2009

 

Marjorie

Teacher

  • A native Chinese speaker from Taiwan and has a B.A. in Foreign Languages & Literature
  • Lived and taught Chinese cooking in Japan & Italy
  • Teaches Chinese since 1990 and has been with BMLC since 2010
  • A professional translator since 2001
  • North Kitsap High School math club sponsor from 2008 to 2013
  • Co-authored two Chinese-English language books
  • Member of National Language Service Corp [NLSC] and American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language [ACFTL]
  • Chinese Cultural and Folk Arts Teacher certified – 2012
  • Completed Chinese calligraphy course offered by Chung Hwa Correspondence School, 2012

Liming

Teacher

  • From Taiwan, a native Mandarin speaker
  • Involved in numerous volunteer projects and positions, including public school Parent-Teacher-Organization, Bainbridge Island FC and St. Cecilia Catholic Church
  • Teach Chinese language classes since 1998
  • Chinese Cultural and Folk Arts Teacher certified – 2011-2015
  • Completed Chinese calligraphy, brush painting, paper arts and Chinese food courses offered by Chung Hwa Correspondence School, 2012-2014

Bainbridge Chinese Culture & Arts is a non-profit organization that provides Mandarin Chinese language training and basic writing skills, and introduce Chinese culture and arts to young students and interested adults on Bainbridge Island and nearby communities in Washington State.
